"Forward of you there are the doors of the Kingdom of Hades, son of Cronos, who reigns in the depths of the earth, in the shadowy realm of death. Unlike the other gods, never appears in the world of men, and remains locked in his infernal palace. His commands are execute through the Keres, daughters of night, virgins winged who swoop down as vampires on the battlefields.

The souls of the dead are transported by Thanatos, the angel of death or Hypnos, the angel of sleep, or by Hermes, descending into Hell by the gorges of the river Styx, a river of sewage. The souls cross it on the boat of Charon, who receives a toll, and enter the palace of Hades through a door that keeps a three-headed dog, Cerberus, treacherous beast that never allowed out, devouring those try".
